Organic Produce Pocket Guide

You know I always go on and on about how important it is to eat as much organic produce as possible. If you’re just as dedicated to eating organic as I am, here is a handy guide for you to stick in your wallet or purse for when you find yourself at the market torn between buying organic vs. conventionally grown produce.
I often notice that organic is only $1 or $2 more, so I usually spring for the extra buck. Yes, I even buy organic onions and garlic. You can never be too careful, especially when it comes to what you put in your body. And if you ever see any of your favorites on sale, take the opportunity to stock up.
| Worst: (the foods that I will absolutely NOT buy unless organic) | Best: (okay to buy if organic prices are too high) |
| Peaches | Onions |
| Apples | Avocado |
| Sweet Bell Peppers | Sweet Corn (frozen)– but remember that if you buy non-organic, you could be buying GM |
| Celery | Pineapple |
| Nectarines | Mango |
| Strawberries | Sweet Peas (frozen) |
| Cherries | Asparagus |
| Lettuce | Kiwi |
| Grapes (imported) | Bananas |
| Pears | Cabbage |
| Spinach | Broccoli |
| Potatoes | Eggplant |
