Me and My Vegan Dog

Okay, so I don’t have a dog and probably will never get one while I am married to my husband, but if I did have one, he or she would be vegan. I know that a vegan diet isn’t necessarily natural for a canine, but, think about it, is dog food? If a dog were in the wild, wouldn’t it be hunting it’s own food and eating it raw? Anyway, I wanted to make some vegan Christmas cookies for a few special furry friends in our lives and found this amazing site. You really have to check out all of the recipes here.
I’m such a nerd that I used cookie cutters to cut out cute shapes (even an “R” for Roger and a “T” for Tater). The little shapes got to be pretty tedious, which made me switch over to making these gingerbread men. The cut cookies are the Peanut Butter Power Bites and the drop cookies are the Oatmeal “Cookies”. These have not been tested on any dogs, yet, so I can’t account for how “good” they are, but if my parents’ dog will eat durian, I bet she’ll like these.

Maida,
Roger really loves the oatmeal cookies and the “R” shaped peanut butter bites. Even I tasted the oatmeal bite and it wasn’t so bad. A little dry for a human, but at least I know that if desperate times called for desperate measures, Roger and I could share these snacks.
