Hi Adriana,

I make my own gum paste and that doesn't contain any eggs or gelatin. It's really easy-- you mix powdered sugar with water, corn syrup and Gum Tex powder. Gum Tex can be found at many craft stores and also online. For fondant, I do have a recipe up on my site that is perfect for modeling figures:

To make white fondant, just omit the cocoa powder. I also use a store bought brand of fondant that is completely vegan; although, it is definitely not a health food. :) Modeling the figures it actually pretty easy, but it is time consuming. I've found many helpful videos on youtube and can pretty much figure out how to make a figure by looking at ones that other people have made.
