Emma’s Food

Pear and strawberries; 1/2 artichoke; vegenaise; marinara sauce and Nate's Meatless Meatball; O's

Like I said, nothing super exciting this week.  I tried a new tactic with the meatball to see if she’d at least try it (mashing it up with the marinara sauce), but she wouldn’t even give it a taste.  She ate everything else, though and then ate the other half of the pear.  You can always count on her to eat fruit!  And after having tried both the Whole Foods brand of meatless meatballs and Nate’s, I have to say that I prefer Whole Foods.  It has a sage flavor in it that is really good.  Nate’s are pretty bland.

Snack

Eco-Planet "cheese" crackers; strawberries; edamame

I like these Eco-Planet vegan “cheese” crackers.  They are, indeed, cheesy, but there are two things that bother me about them:  1.  on the list of ingredients, the cheese flavor is “organic cheddar cheese like flavor.”  What the heck does that mean?!  2.  every time I buy a box, half of it is broken bits of crackers.  It’s annoying to have little cracker bits instead of whole crackers.  Emma likes ‘em and they are the only vegan “cheese” cracker that I know of, so I guess I’ll stop with the bitching.
